The main character of the 2002 short film “Liberata Me” is Julian, a Goth, who is desperately addicted to heroin. To communicate with a spirit of a person he once knew, he tattoos an unusual looking Ouija board onto his back. Before he can establish contact, he dies and his equally drug dependent friends are left with his dead body turned occult communication device. After his death, Julian is trapped in a world devoid of light and he wanders around in a place that can only be described as hell. A painful to watch spectacle unfolds before it ends with an unexpected twist.
